About Us

In 1996, we started to serve as a container terminal in Ambarli Port Complex under the name of "Limar". Turkey's ever-increasing container volume led to the need to increase its field and berth capacity, and as a result, Arkas and TIL investment partnership purchased Armaport in Ambarli in 2001 and established Marport Liman Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. Since its establishment, Marport Terminal Operators has continued its expansion projects and reached its current state.

Serving container and open cargo vessels in 7 berths of 1.6 km length on an area of 530,000 m2, Marport has 10 Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes, 41 Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes and 102 Terminal Towing Trucks in its equipment park.

With its 2.3 million TEU capacity, Marport is one of the most important container ports in Turkey, with a market share of 12 percent in Turkey and 32 percent in Marmara, in terms of container volume handled.
