Quality Systems

We started our quality journey in 2006; having integrated and documented our processes to ISO 9001 Quality Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in 2007, ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction and Complaints Management System in 2012, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System in 2016, the 2017 Green Port Sectoral Criteria and OHSAS180001 revised as ISO 45001 in 2020.

All documents that require an Integrated Management System (procedure, instruction, form, process flow charts and external documents) have been defined in the QDMS (Quality Document Management System) program, and all employees can access relevant documents using this program. In the program, the follow-up and up-to-dateness of the documents are ensured by making user-based authorizations and creating matrices.

Internal Audits

In order to ensure the adequacy of the integrated management system and increase the efficiency of the processes, internal audits are carried out by our personnel who have received internal auditor training. The requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 10002 and ISO 27001 standards are complied with in audits. Corrective actions regarding the nonconformities found in the audit are implemented and followed up by means of the system.

External audits

Our Integrated Management System is audited once a year by two accredited companies on current management systems on different dates. Our first certification took place in 2007, and our existing documents were renewed in our audit in 2019.

Corrective actions regarding the nonconformities found in the audit are carried out and followed up on the system.

Suggestion System

It is a system established to ensure that the personnel contribute to the management process and to reach business excellence by evaluating innovative, corrective and remedial ideas.

Within the scope of Continuous Improvement, all ideas that contribute to the company, especially Occupational Health, Safety and Environment issues, are taken into consideration. Notifications are given via Kiosk, suggestion boxes and Marport mobile application (LIMON) channels and evaluated by the Suggestion Evaluation Group. After the suggestions are evaluated, they are converted into corrective action through the system for their implementation. Suggestions with opened DFs are scored and closed. Recommenders with the highest score according to the evaluation criteria are rewarded.

EFQM Excellence in Quality

In order to meet the expectations of all stakeholders, customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers and the society in a balanced way, Total Quality Management studies were initiated in 2010 as a method that ensures the continuous improvement of all activities in the institution. In order to implement this philosophy, the EFQM Excellence Model was adopted, which provides organizations with a structure for the management system, shows where they are on the road to excellence, enables them to identify their deficiencies and encourages appropriate solutions. For this purpose, the National Quality Movement Goodwill Declaration was signed as a member of the Turkish Quality Association (Kalder). As a result of the evaluation made by Kalder in May 2010, it was determined that we are suitable for the 3-star level of excellence in Excellence. The Certificate of Competency was received by our Port Services Group President at the award ceremony at the 19th Quality Congress.

The Basic Concepts of Total Quality Management such as Leadership and Consistency of Purpose, Customer Focus, Management with Processes and Data, Development and Participation of Employees, Continuous Learning, Innovation and Improvement, Development of Collaborations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Orientation to Results, have been adopted in order to advance on the way to the Quality Grand Prize.

In this process, which is progressing on the path of excellence, the expectations of all stakeholders such as customers, employees and suppliers were met at the optimum level, and all activities continued to be improved in a sustainable way. At the end of 2013, the external evaluation made by Kalder within the scope of EFQM granted us the 5-star Competency in Excellence award.
